Live with Maggie Joos

Live conversations with this community’s paid subscribers

Coffee Breaks are 30-ish minute chats over Substack LIVE with the paid members of this community. It’s a chance to learn more about them and their work and talk about some of the real challenges and opportunities as a food writer today.

This conversation touches on so many things that are important to most of us - taking care of yourself, taking care of each other, spending your time on the things that are most important to you, and letting yourself off the hook for not being perfect.

Above all, Maggie’s message is one of compassion. She shows us how to embrace the present moment and let go of what’s not important so we can embrace the things that are.

About Maggie

Maggie’s byline here on Substack says simply, “If Martha Stewart had realistic expectations”, and those six words go a long way towards telling you who Maggie is and what she’s about.

Maggie is a certified yoga instructor who lives in Milwaukee with her husband and children. After running a successful meal delivery service, she turned her attention back to home cooking, creating a newsletter, an in-progress cookbook, and The Gathering — a yoga and dinner series for women who need a room where nothing is being asked of them, because feeding people (and being fed) is her love language.

As Maggie says, the real good life is already yours.
