Wow!!! The planner/scheduler in me LOVES that meetings are booked all the way into February! Thank you so much for all the great info and opportunities here! Love that there is also an alternate time zone available, too.

Haha! I have to tell you… Liza and I set out to plan the next 6 months of meetings but then started having panic attacks by the time we got to January, so we compromised and stopped after February. 😂

Also, did you notice the meeting was moved back two hours? No more 6am wake up calls!

Me too, it has been difficult/ridiculous to participate in the middle of the night and still function during the day. I have tried though.

Hi Rebecca and Fellow Mastermind Food Writers and distant friends. Due to my time zone, I’ll be attending the second meeting hosted/chaired by @Liza Debevec, but I’ll catch up on the earlier meeting via the recording.

I wanted to officially thank @Betty Williams for all of her work orchestrating and writing the Pie Palooza post, allowing us all to participate with our pies.

I announced yesterday on the Mastermind Chat my intention to run a few posts next year using the same principle applied to Betty’s Pie Palooza.

In January 2026 I am collaborating with @Annada D. Rathi on a “Curry Night” event/post. Everyone is welcome to submit their curry post for inclusion in the post, and repost event. Curries of any cuisine are welcome, we will probably set it up with different cuisines on different tables. (ie - sections of the post). Feel free to include the accompaniment for the curry, but a single curry recipe will be good too.

Details

Post needs to be public for the month of the Curry Night

Can be any cuisine

Can include a menu for accompanying dishes

Submission deadline Monday 12th Jan 2026

Published the week of 19th Jan 2026

Submission of post to include a summary of your curry and your reflections.

In February we are running a “Pasta Sauce Party”

If you would like to participate come up with your favourite most delicious pasta sauce recipe and post to bring to the pasta sauce party.
