Let’s just start with the big, ugly truth that all the “how to do Substack” gurus already know but don’t like to say: Most of us (you, me) will never make a living on Substack.
It’s possible that your work here will become (or has already become) an important part of your personal and professional ecosystem. But, if your goal is for it to be THE thing, good luck.
Here’s the good news: Once you accept this reality, you are free to do whatever you want. All the limitations, roadblocks, and unsubscribes are not problems to be solved. On the contrary, stepping into them is the key to freedom and creativity.
