Well done Liza and Linda, I initially thought it would be in the wee hours for me, but it looks like it might be at a reasonable time. So I’ll look forward to participating as work permits.
I can imagine, it is hard to cover all the time zones and with your zone being 'a minority one', it is hard. But I am thinking that we can have a 'mini bookclub' discussion within the monthly meetings that are favourable to your time zone.
It’s a shame I’m viewed as a minority in this group.
I’ve been actively supporting and encouraging so many members of this group, but still I’m not considered in the timing of your book club which I expressed clear interest in participating in.
Hi, Lisa, you are minority only in that you are the only truly active member of Mastermind for Food Writers from the Asia-Pacific time zone. I have actually started hosting the meetings at 8 am my time so that you and other people from this group could join.
For the book club, my co-host Linda who is based in Pacific North West and I found a time where it is day time for both of us. I am truly sorry this means it is 1 am your time zone, but as I wrote, I would be delighted to dedicate part of the monthly meetings to a book discussion to make it more inclusive and as Linda and I have written in the footnote in the post, if you, or anyone else from Asia-Pacific time zones wanted to co-host an additional book club meeting in at a time that is more appropriate for you, you are most welcome to suggest that.
Liza, saying I could make my own book club is not helpful, compassionate or inclusive. It is ridiculous in fact, and if you examine this, you will see it is so.
Love this! I have so missed being a part of the Mastermind sessions due to a crazy schedule. I have this in INK on the calendar. And I have asked the library to find me a copy.
Thank you so, so much Lisa and Linda for organizing this! I can’t wait!
Friends who love food books. This looks like it’s going to be an interesting initiative. A food writers book club!
Fantastic! A perfect first book too! Thank you for organising this.
Excellent! Looking forward to reading the books! Thanks again for pulling this together ❤️
Looking forward to your participation, Shell.
Very excited about this. Thank you Liza and Linda for putting this together. I've ordered my books!
I do like that we are meeting once a quarter. I also like that you've laid out the next three books so I can simply get them all at once.
So glad to know you'll be joining, Mira.
“Group-think”! This was really a nice selection of titles.

That would be great, though I do think it is unfortunately scheduled at what would be 1 am in QLD. But maybe you are a bit of a night owl.
Shame, I obviously did the time calculations poorly. I can’t see me having anything coherent to offer a book club at 1 am.

It’s not feeling inclusive at all.

Thank you Liza and Linda for putting this together and doing the grunt work! And I am looking forward to the first meeting!
Thank you, Betty. Will be good to have you.
It’s going to be fun!

Thanks for organizing this book group.
Wonderful, looking forward to meeting you during the book club.
Excellent!
Thank you for doing this. So lovely. I don’t know Diana Henry’s work that much. My library doesn’t have her books. So I’m thrilled to read this.
Diana Henry has a unique way of synthesizing her own experience with ingredients and culture. Dreamy. So glad you’re attending!
Oh, you are in for a treat, Kimberly. I want to be adopted by Diana Henry so I can eat at her table.
